Jason Biglin

Trustee

My name is Jason Biglin. Born and raised in Alberta, I spent most of my childhood outdoors; camping, fishing, and making friends. From an early age, I had a strong sense of justice, always standing up for the little guy and voicing concerns when it mattered.

After high school, I jumped into the oil and gas industry, starting out on a drilling rig. Over time, I transitioned into plant maintenance and eventually moved into the oil sands after joining IUOE Local 955 in 2014. Some of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned have come from experienced coworkers. Listening to their wisdom has helped me refine my skills and understand the true craftsmanship of the industry. My proudest moments include: operating large equipment and being part of hardworking teams that take pride in what they do.

Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors, whether it’s camping, hunting, or just enjoying nature. Family is my foundation, and I constantly strive to be the best person I can be. My philosophy is simple: create what you deserve, and never stop learning.
