Louis Regaudie

Trustee

Louis started his career in 1988 in Toronto Ontario for Marshall Steel as a crane apprentice with Local 793.

He worked through his apprenticeship on various industrial jobs including the Toronto Dome Stadium, St. Mary's Cement Plant and doing pipeline work as an apprentice clam operator in the Ottawa area.

After receiving his hoisting ticket in 1992, Louis relocated to Northwestern Ontario running dragline and various earth moving equipment for companies in the Thunderbay Ontario area, his hometown.

In 1996 Louis got a job with Litz Crane and Rigging in Winnipeg Manitoba where he joined Local 987. When he worked in Manitoba, one of the highlights of his career was working on the "Golden Boy Restoration Project" where the Golden Boy was hoisted from the top of the provincial legislature to be cleaned and regilded. The golden boy was moved and put on display for the public at the Winnipeg Forks before being returned to his resting spot atop of the legislature. It was a great honour to be involved in this project.

Louis continued his move west to Fort McMurray Alberta in 2004, where he joined Local 955. Louis has worked for Sterling Crane, Mammoet Crane, and Northern Crane as a crane operator. He also has done various supervision roles with these crane companies.

Louis is presently working for Myshak Crane and Rigging as a taxi crane operator.

Louis has been dedicated to union work his entire career and is a very proud union member like his father Emile, who has been a union member and crane operator with Local 793 for 40+ years.

This is how he has followed in his footsteps to where he is today!
